Join us at the Simoore Grange in Ojai's Meiners Oaks for our Springtime Edition of Dancing in the Valley: A Day of Queer Country Dance Workshops & Evening Social Dancing! All Queers, Genders, Bodies & Allies welcome!

This event features a day of workshops for curious beginners, advanced dancers, and everyone in between! All taught by experienced instructors from the southern CA queer community. Dancing continues into the evening at our community social dance with line & partner dance sets from DJs, Sugarfoot, Rick Dominguez, and Luke Nelson 🤠🌈

No experience necessary, just show up ready to dance and learn in community! 

🌼 SCHEDULE

11:30a - 12p: Morning check-in and coffee with Pinholita Coffee Van and hand pies by Bake Ojai.

12:00p - 1:00p: Beginner/Improver Line Dance Workshop w/ Bootleg

1:15p - 2:15p: Improver/Intermediate Stagecoach Prep Line Dance Workshop - "Shake It Like That" & “Rhinestone Rock” w/ Rick Dominguez 

2:30p - 4:00p: Advanced Phrased Line Dance Workshop - "Purple Hat" & "Baby Girl" w/ Sugarfoot

4:00p - 5:00p:  CHILL TIME / WORKSHOP BREAK

Live Music Set by Rita de Los Angeles

5:00p - 6:00p: Partner Dance Workshop w/ Corey Lubowich

6:00p - 10:00p: Social Dance Party w/ DJs Sugarfoot, Rick Dominguez, and Luke Nelson - Put all that you learned into practice during our social dance evening extravaganza! Can’t come during the day? Come twirl the night away with line dancing AND partner dance breaks.
